Myth One
Your inner critic is rational and objective. Truth: It's LOLA — your trauma voice. She remembers every hurt and replays it as if it's happening right now. She's protective, not factual.
Myth Two
If you think it, it must be true. Truth: LOLA speaks in absolutes — 'I'm too much,' 'I always mess up.' Those are old wounds talking, not present-day reality.
Myth Three
You have to believe what she says or you're in denial. Truth: You can notice LOLA's voice without agreeing with it. Recognition is the first step — you're not ignoring her, you're seeing her clearly.
Myth Four
The inner critic keeps you safe and motivated. Truth: She keeps you small. Her job is to protect you from rejection by convincing you not to try. That worked once. It doesn't anymore.
